Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most famous role is Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. She fell in love acting at Preparatory school prior to moving to Ohio with her family in early 1970s. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago and worked in theater parts for a number of years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in TV shows and films. Anna had her first big part as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. In the early 90s she appeared as a regular actor in both film and TV like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In 2000, she was cast in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was also one of her characters. Gunn was also on the stage in a David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and eventual end resembles the end of Walter White's life.
